About Me
My name is Allison Wolf and I am a senior at Rutland Senior High School, in Rutland, Vermont. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata in September, 2013, and have experienced the psychological effects firsthand. Within the last year I had lost almost fifty percent of my hair, and recently grown it all back. I am one of the lucky ones, but there's no guarantee that this disease won't continue to shape my life in the future. From my experience with Alopecia Areata, I have learned many significant lessons, and have also seen how much this disease can affect how I think and act. I am determined to educate more people about this disease and to help those with it to understand what they are feeling and come to terms with it. I am researching how Alopecia Areata can affect an individual with the disease psychologically.
